Maryland Youth Camp Medication Administration Course
Our flagship training program. Maryland Department of Health Youth Camp Medication Administration Training that works for you. Created in cooperation with the Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg- Institute for Interactive Design, this course was developed from a multi-disciplinary team in coordination with adult learning professionals, Physicians, Nurse Practitioner’s, Physician Assistant’s and an Attorney. Annual Camp Health Plan Training
COMAR 10.16.07.03 states that
An operator shall ensure and document that, not more than 30 calendar days before working at the camp, each staff member or volunteer:
(1) Is trained in the health program;
(2) Demonstrates knowledge of the health program procedures; and
(3) Is provided with the opportunity to discuss the procedures and have any questions answered by a supervisor.
We offer health plan training which teaches staff to recognize and respond to emergencies, reviews common emergency medical conditions, and reviews required reporting for medical conditions and emergencies.

Bloodborne Pathogens and Communicable Disease Training
Bloodborne Pathogens are micro-organisms in the human blood that can cause disease. When working in a youth camp, it is important to understand what bloodborne pathogens are so you can take measures to prevent their transmission. This course trains staff in use of the Maryland Communicable Disease Summary, when to report conditions to the local health department, how to sanitize surfaces, when children must be isolated, and much more. Designed to fulfill OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 training requirement.

American Heart Association CPR and First Aid training
COMAR 10.16.07.04 states that two adults with cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification by a national organization with a training program in cardiopulmonary resuscitation are on duty at all times. American Heart Association Heartsaver K-12 CPR and First Aid Course. American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed training included at no additional cost.

Maryland Camp Health, Food Service, and Higher Education Emergency Use Epinephrine Training
This Program was created by the Maryland legislature to authorize certain individuals to obtain and administer life-saving treatment to individuals who are suffering from anaphylaxis when physician services or emergency medical services are not immediately available. While individuals can be prescribed auto-injectable epinephrine for personal use by their doctors, this program is intended for staff of youth camps, food service facilities, and institutions of higher education. The Program requires an individual to go through an approved training program. We can also assist you in obtaining an Epinpehrine auto-injector.
